Got ideas?

Yes, this is a purely selfish post. I want to take Liz to NYC for our Anniversary. The problem is it's not in our budget. So, I need some ideas on how to make some extra money. Leave a comment with your suggestions. Thanks.

One idea for travel costs is to go to hotwire.com We used this to go to NYC once and stayed in a great 4-star hotel for around $100 a night.

You could run a "daddy daycare" for those whose kids need childcare this summer, but can't afford the high costs of "camps" (I'm sure your wife will love this one.. haha).

Ugh...This one you'll have to evaluate for yourself. Not sure how I feel about it, but it is a need.

Meet with local funeral directors. Many times people die who aren't members of a church and have no one to do / officiate the funeral. The funeral directors call ministers from a list. It's a tough one, but I've known one minister who done this for extra cash all the time.

Morbid, morally questionable? I don't know.

Joe, I'm laughing my head off. That's not too bad of an idea.

Have a garage sale. I'm not kidding. If you're the kind of person who can get rid of stuff without crying, this is a really good, really quick way to make some big bucks. We have never made less than $300 on a Saturday. My parents once made over $1000. When is your anniversary? Do you have time to deliver pizzas or papers? If there's a house for sale in your area that the lawn gets kinda shaggy on, call the number and see if you can mow the lawn for a reasonable price every week? Take up a "special offering" at church? Haha... j/k

Let's help Jonathan figure out what he is going to do with 3 boys and a dog while he is hanging out with Liz at Times Square. Got ideas?

Dear Mother-in-law,

I hear they're all going camping in a 36 foot RV.
