Something to ponder

When was the last time God spoke to you about what He wanted to do and you were scared to death by it's magnitude? - Henry Blackaby

Weeellll...

I have really been struggling with church. I don't like church. It bothers me. I've had bad experiences, so on and so forth.

I knew that God was restructuring his church... changing it, making it into what he desired at first... he has to have a bride to come back to and not just a bunch of individuals doing this thing on their own. Plus, we're here with a purpose as the church... how can we accomplish that without each other right?

So I figured (logically) that God was restructuring through the house church movement. And it's really cool... I think he is... Part of it anyway. But I kept having all this contact with organic church resources and people etc... And something wasn't feeling right. Like we would have the opportunity to meet with some organic church people here in Sptbg... a conference coming up in FL... So exciting... Basically what we've been waiting and hoping for.

God said No.

He is working through the organic church movement.

But he's not going to leave the rest of his church behind. He's working to restructure what exists already too. And we're part of that. And that really scares me. Because that was not part of my plan. Funny right? It's just bigger than anything I could come up with (obviously) and to get to be part of it... is exciting... but ultimately really frightening.

First, don't you hate to hear no?

Second, I do think it's a both/and not either/or. I think we need both the organic/house church movement as well as a revival in our existing churches. Thanks for sharing. I'm glad you and Allen are listening to God!
