Bamboo

I learned something about bamboo today. Do you know how to get bamboo to grow? You're about to.

You cut off a piece of bamboo from an existing bamboo tree. You plant it. You water it for a year. And nothing happens. You water it for a second year. And nothing happens. You water it for a third year. And nothing happens. You water it for a fourth year. And nothing happens. You water it for a fifth year. And nothing happens. You water it for a sixth year. And nothing happens.

Most of you would have quit watering by now, wouldn't you.

But in year seven it starts to grow, and when it starts it explodes. Bamboo can grow 90 feet in a week. It can grow three feet overnight.
