The Good News About Marriage

Let me ask you a question: What is the divorce rate in America?

If you answer like I would have two weeks ago, you would have said, “50%,” meaning, one out of every two marriages end in divorce.

But where did we get that number? And what if it’s wrong?

Come to find out, the 50% number came from a misreading and misinterpretation of a study done awhile ago, and in fact, the divorce rate is significantly lower than 50%, way lower.

That’s why you need to read Shaunti Feldhan’s new book, The Good News About Marriage.

If we believe everything we hear we might think that marriage is a failing institution with little or no benefit. But that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Most people who are married are happy. Married couples who attend church services regularly have a minimal divorce rate and church attendance will help you have a happier marriage. And for those in second and third marriages, there is good news for you too.

We live in a “bad news” society because bad news sells. Shaunti shares some much needed good news, and I encourage you to discover the good news for yourself.

It's a quick read, but a powerful read.
