I have noticed that too... the difference between African Christians and us. I wonder if it's because their culture is so accepting of the supernatural in spirituality already... or just that they need to believe more than we think we do. Here, I think we don't really "need" God (what I mean by that is that we have so many other ways of "fixing" our problems, not that we don't really need Him obviously) so we have little reason to put that kind of faith in something we cannot control.
That second article... point 3... I can see that as relates to church and every other aspect of life... marriage... parenting... Sometimes I wonder why I bother standing back up again!
